The Rawit pepper is a small chilli pepper, but certainly not mild This chilli pepper is much spicier than its size suggests. The Rawit is widely used in Asian cuisine. These very hot chilli peppers are used in sambals and salsas, but also in stir-fry and curry dishes. The chilli peppers are also called Birds-Eye, Piri-Piri or Thai Chilli and are available in red and green.
The Rawit pepper is 3 to 8 cm long and has a diameter of 0.1 to 0.3 cm. They weigh on average 2 to 10 g.
