Madame Jeanette, a yellow chilli pepper, originally from Suriname. This chilli pepper is very hot. The chilli pepper is thought to be named after a lady from Parimaribo who fiercely carried out the world’s oldest profession. The taste is slightly fruity and reminiscent of mango and pineapple.
The Madame Jeanette pepper plays a prominent role in Surinamese cuisine. The chilli pepper is usually cooked in the dish and removed before serving. The chilli pepper can also be used to make sambal, and it is often used in stews, curries and marinades.
It is not recommended to eat this chilli pepper raw. To get rid of the chilli burn, you can rinse your mouth with milk.
